Analog Electronics lab report week 13

By Benna Su.

1. Here are a few projects from the Digital Electronics Hall of Fame.  Find 3 that are compelling to you and write a little bit about each.

Nick Royall
Crystal Ann Palma Lagria
Margaret Sohn
Max ChidzeroPaul OdenwaldtLauren Schutz
Shane Patterson
Jordana Bombi

Dominic Yuan
Yasmin Williams
Jason Wallach

1.I wanna talk about the Drum Sequencer by Shane Patterson. I think it is cool because I’m wondering how he d the basic 8 step sequencer without interacting other things except array itself. I might wanna build a drum sequencer as well.

2.The second cool project I think it’s cool is Hank Borders’s project. He used a pen to represent the sound waves amplitude. That is so cool and I wonder how he did it!

3.the last one is Nick Royall’s project. He built a 8 step 4 channel and midi sequencer, that is also pretty cool. I wonder how he builds this kind of complicated circuit. I might wanna build that as well.

2. The digital/microcontroller platform we’ll be using in Digital is called Arduino. It has been around for about 15 years, it is hugely popular, and people have used it to make seemingly any gadget you could ever think of.  Google “Arduino” plus literally any concepts or things you are interested in. Find one project that is music or audio related, and one that isn’t, and link to them and write a little bit about each one.

I found a video introduce the project related to Arduino. The first one is really cool, because they program it and make those cd player t play” he’s a pirate”.

This is the video that I found describe about about Arduino not related to music. This is the DIY project using Arduino to program the machine and make it to write stuff on paper.

3. In digital electronics terms a switch or button is a __digital______ (digital/analog) input, an LED is a __analog______ (digital/analog) output, and a potentiometer is a __analog______ (digital/analog) input.

4. Have you done any computer programming before? Classes at or outside on NYU? Projects? If so, what? (This question obviously isn’t going to to be graded. It’s just helpful to know.)

I did take computer programming course last semester.(Python programming.)
